Announcements (6/18)

Father’s Day Breakfast: Sunday morning at 9:15 we will be celebrating dads with a breakfast. The Fellowship Committee has provided biscuits & gravy, fruit, and scrambled eggs. Everyone else is encouraged to bring other items to round out the meal.

Prayer Team: Come each week to lift up the ministry and needs of our congregation, as well as the work of the Church around the world. Thursday mornings at 10:30 in the Prayer Alcove.

Baby Bottles are due Sunday. For more information on the Baby Bottle campaign, or on the ministry of Sage Women’s Center, see Jerry Evers.

Side By Side: Over the summer we are working through the book “Side By Side” by Ed Welch. This book is a practical study in how we can walk with each other in wisdom and love through the challenges of life. This class requires outside reading and there is a study guide to help our discussions. If you would like more information, please contact Pastor Shaun. We meets on Sunday mornings at 9:15.

Youth Intern Fund: We are raising money for a youth intern/director. If you would like to give financially to this effort, please note “Youth Intern Fund”. For more information, please see Pastor Shaun.

This Week’s Announcements (6/11)

Father’s Day Breakfast: Our annual Father’s Day Breakfast is next Sunday morning (June 20th) at 9:15. Biscuits & gravy, fruit salad, and scrambled eggs will be provided by the fellowship committee. The congregation is asked to bring other breakfast dishes to round out the meal.

Prayer Team: Beginning Thursday at 10:30 a.m there will be a prayer meeting in the Prayer Alcove. Come lift up the ministry and needs of our congregation, as well as the work of the Church around the world.

Baby Bottles: Fill up a baby bottle to benefit the Sage Women’s Center. Bottles are due back next Sunday. For more information see Jerry Evers.

Dairy Days Help

We still have open spots for helping with Dairy Days on Saturday.

The plan is to check the trash cans around noon, then check again each hour until around 5:30.

If you are able to take a “shift” please contact Pastor Shaun.

Congregational Meeting: There will be a short meeting following the worship service Sunday to vote on the election of an additional Ruling Elder for the Session. We will also vote on changing our bylaws to reflect the needs of our current committees.

Work Party: The Building & Grounds committee is having a work party at the church, May 22nd, starting at 9am. There will be both inside and outside jobs.

Pentecost Sunday: Next Sunday we celebrate Pentecost. if you can speak or read a language other than English and would be willing to help with a part fo the service, please see Pastor Shaun.

Updated COVID Protocols: As the COVID situation is improving, we will respond to any new occurrences on a case by case basis. We encourage everyone to act responsibly. We also encourage you to stay home if you are not feeling well or have been exposed.

Youth Intern Fund: In order to prepare for a 2-year youth intern/director, we are seeking to raise $40,000 to fund the salary portion of the position without affecting our annual budget. Right now we are over half-way there! If you would like to give financially to this effort, please give with a note for “Youth Intern Fund”. For more information, please see Pastor Shaun.

Sunday is Compassion Sunday. Since we just emphasized this in the fall we won’t be doing our usual event. Still, for more information about the ministry of Compassion International, go to www.compassion.com.
